Meet our TeamOur Director and Exercise ProfessionalsDr. Kenneth Ditzian Over the past 25 years, Dr. Ditzian has practiced chiropractic health and fitness care in Massachusetts and Florida. Dr. Ditzian specializes in spinal orthopedics of the neck and lower back, and was the first certified MedX exercise/rehab physician in Massachusetts. Dr. Ditzian is also a certified cancer wellness exercise specialist and certified personal trainer. Dr. Ditzian is a former Massachusetts walking coach for Team in Training for the Massachusetts Leukemia/Lymphoma Society and a former board member of the New England Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. Additionally, Dr. Ditzian is a certified "I Can Cope" facilitator and lecturer for the American Cancer Society and a volunteer for the "one-to-one" program at Dana Farber Cancer Center. Dr. Ditzian's professional certifications and accomplishments in combination with his personal triumph over leukemia have given him the knowledge and understanding to develop a wellness program specializing in the treatment and conditioning of cancer patients.
Our Nutritional ServicesJudith Mabel, RD, PhD Dr. Mabel specializes in developing individualized nutritional programs based on clinical findings and patient profiles. Dr. Mabel's background includes experience as a nutritionist and dietician. She is the author of more than a dozen scientific and clinical papers on nutrition, and has been a featured writer for the Tufts Diet and Nutrition Newsletter. At Harvard, her work focused on the impact of body chemistry on health and disease, studying under Dr. Jean Mayer. Her professional training includes: Boston University, PhD, Biochemistry; Harvard School of Public Health, MS, Nutrition; and Cornell University where she obtained a BS in Nutrition. Dr. Mabel's unique background in both traditional and alternative approaches to nutrition allows her to combine the best individualized program for her cancer patients. In addition, Dr. Mabel has developed treatment plans for such conditions as: asthma, arthritis, cholesterol management, digestive problems, allergies, diabetes, cardiac problems, weight management, fitness and lifestyle changes and stress management. Anne Chiavacci, MS, MA, RD, LDN Ms. Chiavacci is a senior nutritionist at Brigham & Woman's Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Brookline,MA. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her Master of Science in Nutrition from Tufts University. Anne completed her dietetic internship at Francis Stem Nutrition Center associated with New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. She has a Master of Arts in counseling from the Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatsfield, PA. Ms. Chiavacci specializes in educating cancer patients about the most scientific-based nutritional treatments. Anne tailors an individualized cancer nutritional program to help the cancer patient manage nutritional issues during and after cancer treatment, the major symptoms that she recommends a treatment plan for are: nausea, vomiting, taste changes, bowel irregularities, weight changes, malnutrition, tube feedings/enteral nutrition, IV feedings/Pre-enteral Nutrition, questions about anti-oxidents, Vitamins, Herbs, dietary supplements and physical activity. Anne lectures on topics such as phytonutritients, the role of nutrition and healthy lifestyle in cancer prevention and survivorship.
